Bodyguard Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Bodyguard

Bodyguard
Music Director: Himesh Reshammiya, Prittam
Lyrics: Shabeer Ahmed, Nilesh Mishra
BD Music Rating:***

 Bodyguard
Singer: Salman Khan

My gosh! The chilled up guitars in the song is a brilliant innovation Himesh Bhai! And this song is all about the spirit of the movie. Salman's dialogues in the song reminds of Main Hu Yuvvraj. Actually this should have been Bodyguard theme, instead of Teri Meri instrumental. Lyrics sound Juvenal and raw.  The song  gets a little loopy after 2:00. Overall, a nice song to promote on teasers.

Desi Beat
Singer: Mika, Amrita Kank

A hard core Bhangra track of the album. And no price for guessing, Mika is the singer. The song has all the elements of a Bhangra song, which might not be musically hit but a sure shot visual treat. The Lyrics are peppy with phrases "Desi Beat Baja De Dholiya". The hip hop version of the song is more hep. Vocals of Alam Gir Khan sound better than Mika!

Teri Meri
Singer:Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Shreya Ghoshal

What a melodious song! And mind blowing vocals by Shreya Ghoshal. But the song is all about boasting vocals of Rahat Fateh Ali Khan. He does not sing with throat (neither from nose ofcourse) but he sings straight from heart. The song gets vintage feeling thanks to the brilliant orchestras. Nice mix. Reprise Version is also pleasant.

Bodyguard theme is the instrumental of Teri Meri.

I Love You
Singer: Ash King, Clinton Carejo

Ash King!!! I absolutely love his voice. He is of course, Rahman’s discovery. And this guy has all the songs a chartbuster till date. Keep it Dil Gira Daftan or Te Amo or this one. Lyrics set up a good romantic mood. Clinton Carejo backs up some fine notes with Ash King. This is the only song of Prittam for the album, but a deserved one to include on the covers.

The unplugged version by Shaan is good but the original version is better.

4 orignals on the cover.5 remix, 1 reprise, 1 unplugged and 1 instrumental to end up a huge music album. I expected Himesh Reshammiys's voice for couple of tracks like Teri Meri Reprise and Bodyguard title track but nevertheless, album is good. Almost of same standards of a Salman Khan movie.

Singham Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review: Singham

Sigham
Music Director: Ajay - Atul
Lyrics: Swanand Kirkire
BD Music Rating:***

Singham
Singer: Sukhwinder Singh

As soon as the sanskrit verses start, I certainly predicate that the song is going to be a cult hit like Dabbang and Omkaara title tracks. But as soon as Sukhwinder Singh starts rendering mesmerizing tune, I simply feel overpowered and energetic. Theme (Music and Lyrics) of the track is just omnipotent. Music is a very well fusion of violins, Dhols and Flute. The song never loses energy level, even in the interlude. A very well use of chorus is made throughout the song. Music is thus very innovative. I feel glad to see Ajay-Atul on the cover (I still remember Hanuman Chalisa from Waah! Life Ho to Aisi) and last 45 seconds of the song just enthrall me into the new divines!!  It’s a real good start to the album.  Ave Singham!!

Saathiya
Singer: Shreya Ghoshal, Ajay Gogavale
The song seems ordinary at first listen. Sounds meliorate on the next and superlative on the next to next! The track is distinguished from ordinary ones by use of violins (again!), very Indianised instruments (like Matka) and singing of the male lead. The male lead, Ajay Gogavale, who happens to be the one from music director duo,is just splendid. The voice texture in the voice gives his solo singing, a chorus feel!! Shreya Ghoshal is apt for the song and lyrics fill up the bill.

Maula Maula
Singer: Richa Sharma, Kunal Ganjawala
Well, after brilliant first two songs, this one is a mediocre. The lyrics are beautiful, tune is ordinary and singing is good. Its a long time since I heard from Kunal Ganjawala. Music is not innovative here like the previous two. An average track.

And surprisingly, all the originals come to an end here. Rohit Shetty likes to serve more songs but this time I am little disappointed with only three originals on the cover. Ajay – Atul definitely makes good music for first two tracks, and if they could serve some more variety in genres, It would have been easier to rate the album.

Never mind, I rate this album a lenient three out of five for its two super hit tracks.

Murder 2 Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Murder 2

Murder 2
Music Director:Harshit Saxena,Mithoon,Sangeet Haldipur,Siddharth Haldipur
Lyrics:Sayeed Qadri
BD Music Rating:***

 Haal E Dil
Singer:Harshit Saxena

First of all I would like to appreciate the Bhatts for giving the youngsters the deserved platform in the music Industry. Harshit Saxena (from Amul Voice Of India) is the one this time. The debutant song from him is a lovely lovely musical gift to the listner.Lyrics are typical candy floss kinda romantic.Though a Prittam kinda song, he is no Prittam, listen to the beats and tune carefully,so original and so groovy.Welcome to the industry Harshit!
The Acoustic one is an average one compared to the original but yet a pleasure.

Aa Zara Karib Se
Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan
Another debutant duo Sangeet Haldipur, Siddharth Haldipur. But sadly the song is not innovative. Its like Ismail Darbar tunes mixed with DJ Suketu beats.Sorry, But a long way to go.
Aye Khuda
Singer: Kshitij Tarey, Salim Bhat, Mithoon
As soon as the album was out, My friend messaged me, Mithoon is back and back with bang! And he is absolutely correct. Mithoon welcome back!!!! The song is a perfect ten on soul thanks to ace singing by Mithoon,Saim and Kshitij. The song will be a huge hit as soon as the fever of Haal - E- Dil is reduced.Lyrics are surprisingly soulful and touchy!

Phir Mohabbat
Singer: Mohd Irfan, Arjit, Saim Bhat

Most soulful track of the album.Looks like an unplugged version, the song is one of my pick for the album. Waste of time to describe it, just listen it!

Tujhko Bhulana
Singer:Sangeet Haldipur, Roshni Baptist
Again the song is a miss.
So 5 original and 3 Remixes ends the album. The album as expected is good like all Emraan Hasmi movies. But due to Sangeet-Siddharth tracks and three remixes, I give it a gracious three out of five.

Delhi Belly Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Delhi Belly

Delhi Belly
Music Director:Ram Sampath
Lyrics:Amitabh Bhattacharya, Munna Dhiman, Ram Sampath, Akshat verma and Chetan Shashital
BD Music Rating:****

 Bhaag D.K. Bose
Singer:Ram Sampath

The song is the biggest commercial hit of ace composer Ram Sampath(I predicted in Luv Ka The End review that hes gonna rock in Delhi Belly and I was damn right). The song is supposed to be the youth anthem of the nation. The rock song at its hilarious best. Lyrics are supacool!
As it seems, 'D K Bose, DK Bose,' juxtaposed together and sung to fast instruments, is a popular expletive in India. My expectations are sky high now.

Nakkaddwaley Disco, Udhaarwaley Khisko
Singer: Keerthi Sagathia
"Teri Tirchi Nazar Ne Dil Ko Kar Die Pencher!!!" the Qawali with blues and song helluva fun ride. Lyrics by the movie writer himself Akshat Verma are like adaption from Mushaira Or Hasya Kavi Sammelan. Too cool song!!
Saigal Blues
Singer: Chetan Shashital
A reprise tribute to Saigalsaab. The song continues the flow and the mood of the album.Fun and funk that's what the album is all about.
Ram Sampath,you are the man!

Bedardi Raja
Singer: Sona Mohapatra
Sona Mohapatra(I still remember her songs Abhi Nahi Aana and Tere Ishq Nachaya) is the lead of this folk song. The song seems situational.Though fun not funky which is satisfied by another Version of the song, the funky one.Smart move, huh?

Jaa Chudail
Singer:Suraj Jagan

Another rock song.Ram Sampath simply rocks!! And Amitabh Bhattacharya (Most of his albums are hit. all in a span of 2 years. He has a success story....Aamir,Dev D,Udaan,Anjaana Anjaani,Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai,No One Killed Jessica,Thank You,Ready) is now my favorite after Gulzaarji.

The lyrics for the break up song goes...

Chhoti chhoti baato'n se
Tune jo sataya mujhe
Ungli pe nachake tune
Chuna jo lagaya mujhe
Arey jaa jaa jaa
Go to hell....

Arey jaa ja ja
I want silence
Jaa chudail
Jaa chudail
Ya ya
Ja chudail

Palkon pe bithaya tujhe
Ruthi toh manaya tujhe
Pyaar mein toh khuda
Bhi banaya tujhe par (par)
Tujhko kadar nahi
Yeh le dekh thenga mera
Ha ha ha
Tail lene ja tu
Koi kya ukhad lega mera
Ae..
Abey ja ja ja
Go to hell...
Ja ja ja
Once again
Jaa chudail
Ja chudail
Chudail...fida...

Phoolon sa chehra tera
Dil pe tha pehra tera
Reh gaya ab wahaan
Dard gehra tera
Hat...

Phool vool kuch nahi
Sada hua aalo hai tu
You know what you are
Hoor nahi pari nahi
Jungli ek bhaalu hai tu

Arey ha ha ha
Go to hell
Arey ja ja ja
Everybody
Jaa chudail
Jaa chudail
Jaa chudail
Chudail....
Abey ja ja ja
Go to hell
Ja ja ja
Once again
Jaa chudail
Jaa chudail
Chudail
Yea yea.

Tere Siva
Singer:Ram Sampath, Tarannum Mallik

The album would have been a 4.5* if this track wasn't on the album.

Switty
Singer:Keerthi Sagathia
Yes,after the previous hurdle, the album gets back on the track again.Frankly, the remixed version of the song was not needed.still Fun Fun Fun! Munna Dhiman competes with Amitabh Bhattacharya this time in the battle of words. Good job by Lyricist.
I Hate You (Like I Love You)
Singer:Keerthi Sagathia, Sona Mohapatra, Shazneen Arethna, Aamir Khan

The song is catchy, funny and rocking. Lyrics are witty. With Amir Khan giving the vocals and delivering funny punch lines (Jo chauka udte huye jaye usse chakka kehte hai.Lawl) the situational song will be striking like a lightning on televison soon.Good one.

After the unreal Shaitan, yet another revolutionary combo of Retro,Blue,Funk and Rock seen in the recent time(Love you, Bollywood).Delhi Belly is something to keep it in your collection.

Shaitan Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Shaitan

Shaitan
Music Director:Prashant Pillai, Amar Mohile, Ranjit Barot, Anupam Roy
Lyrics:Sanjeev Sharma
BD Music Rating:****

 Enter
(Instrumental)

The very short instrumental is placed to introduce you to the new age sounds of this new age album.Thoguh the instrumental is too short, seems apt for the intro music.

Bali (The Sound Of Shaitan)
Singer: Farhad Bhiwandiwala, K.S. Krishnan, Preeti Pillai, Hitesh Modak, Kalloist
To review the song, few lines are not enough. Read the complete review of the song (here).
Nasha
Singer: Prashant Pillai, Bindu Nambiar
After divine Bali, comes the absolute rahmanic- Nasha! Prashant's vocals are just outstanding. Same goes for Bindu Nambiar (Readers are welcomed to point out a relation between Bijoy and Bindu Nambiar, I am ignorant). Lyrics are apt for the songs. Music arrangement and production is so so rich. The song deserves accolades.Punjabi touch in the end is very innovative.
Josh
Singer:Colin Terence, Abhishek, Shradha
An Amar Mohile track. Amar Mohile (the ace background scorer and good music composer) teams up with Rock On With MTV show ft Colin Terence for a Hinglish Rap. The rap song with techno beats and dhol (towards the end) has some Jazzy saxophones making it a heady cocktail of Eastern - Western influences. Well done!

Fareeda
Singer:Suraj Jagan

The typical rock song with dark lyrics and rocking vocals by Suraj Jagan. The music by Prashant Pillai is ordinary (for this song only) but the lyrics are definitely commendable. Sanjeev Sharma seems well versed in Urdu.Overall an average song.

Hawa Hawai
Singer:Suman Sridhar
(Most reviews left this song unreviewed) The song is re - creation of Hawa Hawai by Laxmikant - Pyarelal. (PS this is reprise version not the remixed one). Glad to see the original credits on album cover(both Javed Akhtar and Laxmikant-Pyarelal are credited). The singing by Suman Sridhar is good. Her last attempt Tonight from Luv ka the end was slightly better. Anyways a good song.

O Yaara
Singer:Kirti Sagatia, Preeti Pillai

Yet another less explored genre, Sufi Rock. The song opens with beautiful blend of Sufi vocals and killer guitars. But the song soon gets slightly boring due to confused and continuous transition of the song from rock to Sufi genre. I feel the soul of a Sufi Rock is missing here. The song slowly catches you, but strictly fails to sting you on the first go.

Pintya
Singer:Chandan Shive

First one from Ranjit Barot for Shaitan. The song goes the typical folk way till 1:07 but soon the techno portion begins. And this portion is well produced and mixed with folk portion.Special credit to the guitarist, the song seems to be made for the background score of the movie.

Zindagi
Singer:Ranjeet Barot

The next one from the man himself, Ranjit Barot. The song is good mainly due to the soulful lyrics and good singing.Music is a bit misfit. But the lyricist again makes Urdu- Hindi his fortage and saves this otherwise mediocre song.

Amy's Theme
(Instrumental)

Like the previous one, this instrumental is a sheer explodinasa of soul. The instrumental is soulful and soulful and soulful...the chorus makes it even more soulful!I love this one.

Nasha(Rock and Soul Version)
Singer:Ranjit Barot, Farhad Bhiwandiwala, Bindu Nambiar

The special mention of the song because of its variety from the original version. This one is as cool as the previous one, and is sung by Ranjit Barot who appears to be a composer for the movie too!

This proves the rare observed comfort level between two music producers working on the same movie. Both musical men, complement each other rather than competing to each other.Bless!

Retro Pop Shit
(Insrtumental)

Now another composer is introduced here. Anupam Roy for only one track. But the track seems quintessential. This one is a pure pop! Unlike those indi-pops served to us in the name of pop.The good fusion of trance with the pop around 2:12 makes it a perfect Retro Shit!Excellent job!

Unleashed
Singer: Bhayanak Maut

Most reviewers have declared this as an instrumental by Prashant Pillai. Sigh! The song is (first ever death metal featured in an Indian movie) composed by Pune based Metal band Bhayanak Maut. The song will definitely take the movie to the new heights. Too unreal to believe that the director has guts to introduce Death Metal to the music industry.Lyrics by the same band is like all other metal songs - Inaudible.

Outro
(Instrumental)

A brilliant outro to the brilliant music album. The instrumental seems to be an official soundtrack of Need For Speed Game or GTA Vice city. Kudos.

Here are few final words to describe the album.
Unreal,Experimental,Brilliant!!

Kucch Luv Jaisaa Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review : Kucch Luv Jaisaa

Kucch Luv Jaisaa
Music Director:Pritam
Lyrics:Irshad Kamil
BD Music Rating:***

Naina

Singer:Mohit Chauhan, Monali Thakur
When I saw Pritam on the cover for the music, I decided to check if Pritam is in different avatar this time or not, sadly he is not. Opening track sang beautifully by Mohit Chauhan sounds so so similar to Bheegi Si Bhaagi Si of Rajneeti. Even lyrics by Irshad Kamil with Pritam has become unanimous.Hope we see a magic with A. R. Rahman and Irshad Kamil combo in Imtiaz Ali's Rockstar. And yes one more disappointment, though female singer is appointed, Mohit Chauhan sings both male and female lyrics!!!

Thoda Sa Pyar (Love And 2 Reprise Versions)
Singer: Sunidhi Chauhan, Anupum Amod,Mannan Shah, Naresh Iyer and Shefali Alvaris
Anupam Amod is astonishing once again. Sunidhi Chauhan as usual is comfortable. No innovations again in the music department.Again a soft romantic number. The whole album, thus, in a way gets monotonous.Sad but Pritam has lost sparks!

Reprise Version by Mannan Shah is a little bit more soulful than the first one.

The third and final version is the best song of the album.English portions by Shefali Alvaris is superb! Here is the innovations in music. Pritam sounds creative. But its too late as this is the last track of the album.

Baadal Pe Paon
Singer: Mannan Shah
A little better song than the first two.Sounds similar to Socha Hai with typical Jaaved Saab kinda lyrics.Yet the song is pleasant due to the new talent Mannan Shah.A descent effort.

Khwab Sa (Rock And Reprise)
Singer:Nikhil D’Souza
I am a fan of the singer since Break Ke Baad and Haunted 3 D and now KLJ. His songs are undoubtedly the highlight of the otherwise very dull album. He sounds as fresh as he did in first two albums of his. Rock version is slightly better than the reprise one. But both are very good to ears.

Yet another average album from Pritam. With all the love songs (like Dil To Bachcha Hai Jee) album is strictly for Pritam lovers only.

Luv Ka The End Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Luv Ka The End

Luv Ka The End
Music Director:Ram Sampath
Lyrics:Amitabh Bhattacharya
BD Music Rating:***1/2

F.U.N. Fun Funaa

Singer: Ali Zafar
Ram Sampath is a very talented music director for me.He is always fresh and never hesitating to venture new genres. His association with MTV and Bumpy, is I think is the prime reason for his appointment with this project. All his flicks Khakee, Family, Jumbo And Aagey Se Right were average but all of them had atleast one out of the box song.

This song is sadly not the one. This is a feel good Rock song we come across now and then. A mediocre effort!
Freak Out

Singer:Joi Barua, Aditi Singh Sharma
Though the song sounds to be extended version of FUN Fun Fanna, the elemental difference is lyrics.Lyrics are perfect. Very very suitable for Teens or Young age. A song which is though avoidable, graces the album.

Luv Ka The End

Singer: Aditi Singh Sharma
The front liner of the album. The song is a full on Rock song with rocking singer of Dev D fame Aditi Singh Sharma. Though its another Rock song, it surprisingly sounds different. The song is a very well conceived piece by the music director and lyricist.

The Mutton Song
Singer: Krishna
Very Very fresh song. The song deserves full score for its unique genre, singing, lyrics and most especially the unique name. Lyrics are witty, music is peppy, and singing is bang on! Ram Sampath creates a good will for his next one - Delhi Belli!

Heppy Budday Beybee
Singer:Jimmy Moses
A short piece offered as a bonus song by Jimmy Moses (Jhonny Lever's mimic).Cool!

Tonight
Singer: Suman Sridhar
A fairy tale song. This song is soothing thanks to great singing and music production. The tune is even more mesmerizing. The song gives us a very pleasant end to the album. And we hope even better next time from this talented music director.
The album has its own feel and theme. The album will mainly influence the college going students or high school teens. The High School Musical kinda songs are so on into Bollywood now!Good one!

Pyaar Ka Punchnama Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review : Pyaar Ka Punchnama

Pyaar Ka Punchnama
Music Director:Clinton Cerejo, Hitesh Sonik, Luv Ranjan & Ad Boyz
Lyrics:Luv Ranjan & Shammi
BD Music Rating:***

Life Sahi Hai
Singer:K.K., Vishal Dadlani, Benny Dayal & Sidd Coutto
OMG! Look at the heavy batch of the singer!Do we need to say more. The rock song is completely on! Superb lyrics.Great singing.Great tune. In short the bang on song!!!!And here is the catchy one "chichorestan ke hum chaudary hai, Life sahi hai!"

Ishq Na Kariyo Kaake
Singer: Mika Singh
A typical Bhangra song with great electronic beat. Nothing to say more. Enjoyable but not hummable.
Kutta
Singer: Mika Singh
The unique thing about the song is its creative approach. The creative lyrics works in the favor and the creative music is a hindrance. The song is avoidable. Lyrics are catchy and bold.

Koi Aa Raha Paas Hai
Singer:Suraj Jagan (Sonu Nigam in Reprise)
A below the mark song. Nothing is new. Nothing to comment about. The song is too sweet to accept.Same for reprise.Strictly avoidable songs both regular and regular versions.

Chak Glassi
Singer:Monali, Suzzane (Ad Boys)
Two brilliant singers together. Whats more to expect. A complete Party Song. Beats are as usual as some bollywood track but the whole and the soul of the song is the singing by both the singers.Seems like completely wild cats out for the hunt. But yet the song remains an average one due to srtictly okay music and lyrics.Version by Ad Boys is slightly better.

Baanwre
Singers:Clinton Cerejo
A unique song with sad sufi lyrics and soft rock music. When you read the name, seems like a Sufi song but the song is a total rock. Tune is very much similar to "O Mama" considering the fact that Clinton Cerejo was associated with 7 Khoon Maaf, it is acceptable. Highlight of the song is superb drums and mind blowing singing.Nice one!

A Mixed bag overall! Only Life Sahi Hai is Path Breaking.

Ready Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review : Ready

Ready
Music Director:Prittam, Devi Sri Prasad (DSP)
Lyrics:Amitabh Bhattacharya,Ashish Pandit,Kumaar,Neelesh Misra
BD Music Rating:***1/2

Character Dheela
Singer:Neeraj Shridhar, Amrita Kak
Prittam is back again. After commercially successful DMD (Read its review here ). This time he has high expectations to carry the load of Salman Khan starer movie. The opening track is a typical Salman Khan Trademark Its music video is already rocking and so is the track. Nothing new in the music section, but there is no need to experiment here. Lyrics are my goodness! so peppy. "Ishq ke naam pe karte sab abhi raas lila karte hai, main karu to saala character dheela hai" Amitabh Bhattacharya is turning to be a more commercially successful lyricist.
Humko Pyar Hua
SingerTulsi Kumar, KK
Again a Prittam track. I have a major problem with Prittam's music. He takes very calculative risks. He takes very calculative risks. He has now, stopped endeavoring new genres. And so his music seems the copy of his own songs.Nevertheless the song is pleasant.

Dhinka Chika
Singer:Mika Singh, Amrita Kak
Folks, this will be the anthem of the nation after the release of the movie. The has already rocked Tollywood and now its time for Bollywood. Glad that original composer has re composed the song. DSP of Aarya 2 has brought us the Hindi version of Ringa Ringa of the same movie. But this time with a bigger blast. Such a foot tapping composition and such a good singer - Mika add some brilliant lyrics. So the song is a perfect formula of success.

Meri Ada Bhi
Singers:Rahat Fateh Ali Khan, Tulsi Kumar
Rahat Fateh Ali Khan in a new genre. But this time its a miss. The overall feel of the song is not yet known to me.Its neither Sufi nor Lounge. Neither Poetry nor Qawalli, But probably the song is a fusion of all these elements plus some Bally Sagoo kind of beats. Yet the song is not convincing.

As usual in a Prittam soundtrack, all the originals are added with remixes of each one. Making a total of 8 songs (4 + 4 originals plus remixes). Prittam is as usual good but not outstanding. Overall the album is a worth buy.

Stanley Ka Dabba Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review : Stanley Ka Dabba

Stanley Ka Dabba
Music Director:Hitesh Sonik
Lyrics:Amole Gupte
BD Music Rating:****

Life Bahot Simple Hai
Singer:Shaan
Let me first say that Hitesh Sonik is not a debutant in Bollywood. He is very good music producer and has given background scores in many Vishal Bhardwaj and Anurag Kashyap movies. The opening track clarifies the purpose of the album and the movie itself. As the song says Life is simple and so is the music!Song is hummable and melodious. Reminds me of my childhood days! Lyrics by Amole Gupte are icing on the cake.
"Noodlon ke ye dhaage baandhle hum tum ko, zindagi iske aage kuch bhi mujhko nakko."

Dabba
Singer:Sukhwinder Singh
Let me clarify one more thing, it ould be a big mistake to compare the album with Taare Zameen Par, Because TZP soundtrack was brilliant but not as naive and fresh as this one.(Exceptions:Bum Bum Bole and Maa). The song has a very simple message convinced witth simple lyrics and music. Sukhwinder Singh makes its tune sound  a little like Fatak from Kaminey.A good treat anyways.

Tere Andar Bhi Hai Kahi
Singer:Vishal Dadlani , (Aditya for reprise version)
The song which I feel will highlight the whole and soul of the movie. And I expect it to be a front runner after the release of the movie. The Vishal Dadlani version is a Soft Rock track with soothing vocals. Very creative track in terms of lyrics and music.Kudos to the team. The reprise version also called as Aditya Rox is intoxicating. Even though the piece last hardly for two minutes, it leaves an impact for sure.

Nanhi Si Jaan
Singers:Shankar Mahadevan
The only reason to compare the album with TZP. But this rock song is different.Drums and Guitars are completely complementing each other.Shankar Mahadevan sings it with sheer honesty. Lyrics are self indulging.A must have!

Jhoola Jhool

Singers:Hamsika Iyer
The only song which is full of soul but lacks at music department.A slight disappointment.

 Thirsty
Instrumental
Glad that I got a chance to review an Instrumental After a long time. But sigh that the track is more of a background score than a musical instrumental.

A very good album overall. Upto the mark.Well done!

Ragini MMS Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review :Ragini MMS

Ragini MMS
Music Director:Shamir Tondon
BD Music Rating:**1/2

Itne Kareeb Aao
Singer:Raaj
A jazz feel to the album. Nothing more or innovative at music section. But the singer feels the song completely and that makes the song a worth to listen.

Ragini
Singer:Faizan Hussain & Agnel Roman
Probably the best of the album is here! I seriously miss here the Kailash Kher - Sneha Khanwalkar combination. The song is very rich in terms of sound design and mixing. But the song lacks good lyrics and singing.Rap portion does covers a bit but overall the savior here is guitars. Crazy crazy guitars!!

And another track is Raat Akeli Hai from Jewel Thief, for which I neither have the right nor have the gutts to review such brilliant classic.

Basically Ragini MMS has not bothered for the music section. But I feel Sneha Khanwalkar who did wonders with OLLO and LSD should have been roped here. She fused the music in the films like LSD where music section was never needed. And yet she did it beautifully.

Haunted 3 D Music Review (BD)

BD Music Review : Haunted 3 D

Haunted 3 D
Music Director:Chitranjan Bhatt
Lyrics:Junaid Wasi, Shakeel Azmi
BD Music Rating:***1/2

Tum Ho Mera Pyar
Singer: K.K.
I frankly find this song overrated. Song is no doubt soft romantic number easy on ears but it should not be promoted as the front liner of the movie. K.K. is good. Music of the song is bad.Due to ordinary music the song could have fitted in any Bhatts' movies like Raaz, Raaz 2 or Zehar. One can imagine Emraan Hashmi singing the love song while hearing this one.Lyrics by Shakeel Azmi for just this song. And it seems there was no need of guest lyricist if you have an efficient man Junaid Wasi on the job.

Jaaniya
Singer:Siddharth Barur
Siddharth Barur is another new name in Bollywood. The piano in the start misleads the song to be a trademark Bhatt film song. But as soon as the singer starts his job all apprehension fades away. The key point of the album i find is its commercial appeal. Lyrics are simple and hummable and the catch applies not just for this song but for the whole album.Smart strategy by Bhatts.Music is good sans innovations.

Tera Hi Bas Hona Chahoon
Singer:Jojo, Najam Sharaz
Lyrics ! Lyrics! Lyrics are the best part for this song."khuda ko dikh raha hoga, naa dil tujhse juda hoga, teri taqdeer main mujhko, woh ab to likh raha hoga." This is something which makes an otherwise ordinary song on music a loveable and hummable song. The new pakistani talent launched by bhatt camp via this plateform is Najam Sharaz. Its like an extended version of Prittam songs but anyhow one would loop the song again and again.

Mujhe De De Har Gum Tera
Singers:Siddharth Barur
Siddharth Barur yet again. The song looks like a mixture of Tera Hi hona Chahoon And Jaaniya.Nevertheless an average song. The singer sounds weird when he pronounces word "tu"(You).
You Are So Beautiful
Singers:Nikhil DSouza
The song sweetly stings right form the beginning.Scorching acoustics sounds vintage. And here is the brilliant vocalist Nikhil D'Souza. He is back again  in top notch after Main Jiyunga of Break Ke Baad. His voice sounds so familiar yet so distinguished.I am deeply in love with the song. And the brilliant track simply kills you with dagger of love when it reaches around 3:39.The moment when singer sings "Jeena mushkil ho jaata hai.." and a lover might skip a heart beat or two!

Sau Baras
Singers:Tia Bajpai
Sau Baras is the last one by the lead lady of the movie "Tia Bajpayi" (I know her real name is Twinkle as she was a participant in Sa Re Ga Ma). I never thought she could be so brilliant in singing. She literally feels the song and makes you do the same. The situational song has the lyrics of a horror movie. Music is even soothing. A good end to the album.

I am glad that there are no remixes to kill the ambiance created by the music. Though no song except You Are So Beautiful is outstanding, none of them is bad either. But due to lack in the uniqueness at the music department, i am going with a three and a half out of five.

P.S.: I was seriously disappointed with the cinematography of songs. Just saw video of Jaaniya and it completely misfits the song.Sigh!

BD Music Rating:***

Baangur
Singer: Mame Khan,Kavita Sheth
To begin with, I was chuffed to see Mame Khan on the artist name.He was outstanding in Aitbaar from No One Killed Jessica. The song is definitely low on standards than the previous one but a descent attempt for sure.Guitars give the song a Jazz feel. And Harmonium gives it a groovy Indian feel.Lyrics are suitable for folk songs.A folk version of this song would have been much better than the rock one.In the end, I still look forward to Mame Khan.
Issi Baat Pe
Singer:Krishnakumar Kunnath
The next is  the song by K.K.The composition is by Amit Trivedi. The genre of the song is basically a rock. Amit Trivedi has proved his versatility in Aisha And Ameer but somehow he prefers more of rock and its something that hinders me.The song has the best lyrics of the album"bojh banke rahe kyon subah issi raat pe, aa badal daale rasmein sabhi issi baat pe".And Sitars could not have been better. It sounds a little like Geet Main Dhalte Lafzon Main from Udaan.Nevertheless, a soulful song.

Bhojhal Se
Singer:Krishnakumar Kunnath
Bhojal Se is a sad semi - rock sung by K.K. The tune is simple yet mesmerizing.Composition is by Rajiv Bhalla. The Various Indian sounds like flute keeps you engaged throughout the song. The song gets intoxicating as soon as the interlude of the song begins. Lyrics, now sounds too touchy and deep. Very impressive track. The tune reminds you the famous style of Ismail Darbar.A well composed piece overall!

Aankhein
Singers:Karthik
The song is again a soft rock / fusion.Composer for the song is Vivek Phillip,Onir's discovery.Karthik proves the reason for his super success in south Indian cinema as a vocalist. He is exceptional here.
One will simply feel the song and enjoy it too.
Saye Saye
Singers:Rekha Bhardwaj, Mohan
This song contains very efficient singers Rekha and Mohan. And they do a commendable job. But song is not catchy at first listen. One might love it for musical variance but the song is definitely not hummable.Another problem with the song is it sounds like Aankh Micholi of Dev D.And so an easy task to guess, its Amit Trivedi on music dept.Lyrics makes the song even more intense. So the song is situational to the movie and I doubt its commercial success (which somehow goes with the most of the tracks of the album).

Wundoo Yeredoo
Singers:Rajiiv Bhalla
The song is composed by Rajiv Bhalla. The title means one two in Telugu. The song consists of Hindi/English/Punjabi/Telugu words and yet you feel that lyrics are lame courtesy bad tune.Interlude of the song is the best part of the track and makes it a foot tapping song. But song falls badly on sound designs.Beats seem like a remix by an amateur DJ.The female singer, has done a superior job than Rajiv Bhalla but she is not credited for the song.Sigh! You might hear the song accidentally on radio channel or car stereos.

To sum up, we have three more remixes. So overall the music of I AM is new and unconventional. The music is worth a buy but at the same time an avoidable catch for those who love typical bollywood tracks.

Shor In The City Music Review (BD)

Shor In The City
Music Director:Sachin Jigar, Harpeet
Rating:*** 1/2

Saibo
Singer: Tochi Raina,Shreya Ghoshal
Sachin - Jigar uses the trump card of Amit Trivedi this time. This song is the best of the album. Sachin - Jeegar after successful musical F.A.L.T.U. has a good start here.Tochi Raina sounds mesmerising. He is in top notch here.Simply Splendid!I feel due to the pitch bend used here, Tochi sounds like Himesh Reshammiya and that's a complement for sure.
Karma
Singer: Suraj Jagan, Priya Panchal, Swati Mukund
Okay. Now heres the problem. A hard rock song. The problem lies in its lyrics and tone. It is a good treat for sure but sounds much like Amit Trivedi's art work.Looks like Duo is seriously inspired by AT.

Shor
Singer:Mohan
Such a great singer.Few people know that he is the lead of indian rock band "Agnee". He has a great future in Bollywood. His all songs are hit! Take it Khanabadosh (London Dreams) Or Naav (Udaan). But sad a dark soft rock is a total duh! Again Mohan sang previously for AT. And now i am furious.

Dheem Dheem
Singers:Shriram Iyer
The last original for the album.Sadly only four original tracks are included in soundtrack. The track is again a rock but with essence of Indian flavor.Feels good to ears.
Rests are the remixed versions of songs from Kailash Kher And Roop Kumar Rathod. Say it Reprise!
So its a mixed bag for Sachin - Jigar after fantastic F.A.L.T.U. The lead reason being huge inspiration from Amit Trivedi, The album doesn't sound Fresh, exclude Saibo here. That's a masterpiece for sure.

Dum Maro Dum Music Review (BD)

Bollywood Dil Se Music Review: Dum Maro Dum

Dum Maro Dum
Music Director:Prittam
Lyrics:Jaideep Sahni
BD Music Rating:*** 1/2

Dum Maro Dum
Singer: Anushka Manchanda
"Aaj Aankh Sek Raha Hai Kal Haath Sekega" Jaideep Sahni at his satires. The opening track gets full marks from me.The song is hip, music is techno(!),sound design is great. The song is definitely better than Munni Or Sheela Or Raziya.Heavy Guitars And Techno Bass are complete fun.peppy lyrics too!Prittam is full on after dull Thank You.

Jiyein Kaun
Singer: Papon
Singer sings like James of Alvida fame.Lyrics suits the theme of the song. The soft ballad in the start gets a rock song by the end.I wonder where ths songs gonna fit in the movie. But again prittam is good.

Jaana Hai
Singer: Zubeen Garg
From this point prittam is ordinary.Zubeen Garg looks a bad choice for the song.Lyrics are great, singing is okay, tune is great, music is okay.Guitars around 1:25 seems repeating. The album needs a new start from here.

Te Amo(3 Versions)
Singer:Ash King(Male Version),Mohit Chauhan(Reprise),Sunidhi Chauhan(Female Version)
I don't understand why prittam chose to loop this song thrice. The tune is ordinary. There are few glimmers in female version but reprise and male version seems wasted.Ash King is such an ace singer but completely wasted here.Sigh!

Thayn Thayn
Singers: Abhishek Bacchan,Earl, Ayush Phukan
Complete Blast!Abhishek is simply great here. The lalala tune at 1:18 is just mind blowing. The techno bass surpasses ordinary music of the rest of the song.Lyrics are bang on.I repeat Bang On! "Aap Ki Sewa Main Jan Heet Main Jaari" completely unexpected! The next Gangsta song for the sure!
So overall Prittam manages to survive from disasters. The songs like "Dum Maro Dum" and "Thayn Thayn" are exceptional."Jiyein Kaun" is good."Jaana Hai" is okay."Te Amo" versions are bad.So looks that prittam is good with Techno feel of the album. But lacks on softer side.Anyways a delight!

Thank You Music Review (BD)

Bollywood Dil Se Music Review:Thank You

THANK YOU
Music Director:Prittam
Lyrics:Amitabh Bhattacharya,Kumaar,Ashish Pandit
BD Music Rating:** 1/2

Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo
Singer: Mika Singh
"Gul Batii Kamre Ki Ho Jaaye To,Bechain Dil Thirki Ho Jaye To,Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo"
the lyrics by Amitabh Bhattacharya kick starts the album.Whoa! Lyrics!.Lyrics are funny, sharp, witty at times.Mika is on his third consecutive hit.The singer is going great professionally.Prittam's music is ok.Overall energy of song is less.
Razia
Singer: Master Saleem, Ritu Pathak
After Munni,Sheela, here is Razia. The song is differentiated from both of them.Prittam gets a credit for this.Mallika Sherawat's song will be surely be plus point of the movie.Master Saleem is show stealer. The music is foot-tapping.But the lyrics are raunchy and i would say a bit vulgar."Kahika Na Chodenge Isse"
profanity at its best.sad work by Ashish Pandit who happens to be lyricist for the only song.
Full Volume
Singer: Neeraj Shridhar,Richa Sharma
Again a hip hop/dance genre song. There is no variance at all.The pace picked up by two song is loosing up now.Seems like a reprised version of Zor Ka Jatka (Action Replayy). Lyrics never connect with each other.Kumaar according to me has never been outstanding literally.Music is lousy and beats are missed.(eg.Lyrics goes "Baje Dhol Ki Dhan Dhan"  and a synthpad is played in background instead of Dhol).Such blunders makes it etchy for ears.Nasal singing by Richa Sharma is boring and looping and irritating.
My Heart Is Beating
Singer: Sonu Nigam
Song, singer, lyrics all wasted.Music is repetitive.Sonu singing Mohd Rafi Style.Song seems to be a wanna be I don't know what to do (Hey Babby).Never expected such singing from sonu's side.
Pyaar Main
Singers: Neeraj Shridhar, Javed Ali
Only Savior of the song is Neeraj Shridhar and lyrics at parts.Song picks up in Antra and picks up good. But by now we are bored.the song seems reprised version of Ek Din (Naqaab,The same singer Javed Ali).
4 remixes are there to sum up the album.
Prittam must get out of the copy crisis now. He either copies others' tunes or his or adapts the old tunes to remix them. The thing is consistent with him. And even people are getting bored now.His last album United Six wasn't even noticed by the audience. The last hope is Dum Maro Dum for him.Album is not bad but nothing new.It seems that Thank you=Hey Babby+Action Replayy+Bhagam Bhag!
Though i criticise it,the layman is gonna love it. You may find Pyaar Do Pyaar Lo buzzing on radio of a Rickshaw Wala.I feel its 2 out of 5 for Prittam. But half more for 2 songs' lyricist Amitabh Bhattacharya.

F.A.L.T.U Music Review (BD)

Bollywood Dil Se Music Review:F.A.L.T.U

F.A.L.T.U.
Music Director:Sachin - Jigar
Lyrics:Sameer
BD Music Rating:****

Leja Tu Mujhe
Singer: Atif Aslam
The album starts with a semi rock song sungs by the hearth rob Atif Aslam.I personally evaluate his singing ability very low than his mesmerising voice. And thus the song is most over-rated song of the album. The lyricist sounds normal to his genre.Violins' sonority makes the melody an indianised one.

Char Baj Gayi
Singer:Hard Kaur
A Hard Core Gana by Hard Kaur! The song has topped the charts of PB music countdown already. The lyrics are funky and the lyricist seems to have transformed into his college days. The heavy bass-beats seems bombardment on the woofers. The rap is bang on."Alya Piva Do Ne Baapa Wtf...."

Rab Sab Se Sona
Singer: Neeraj Shridhar
Quite a Prittam kind of song with Prittams' kind of singer Neeraj Shreedhar. Not much to describe about.

Awaz
Singer: Jigar
Lyrics are soulful.Singing is Bang on.Violin Tabla combination is lethal.Still song fails to attract ears.Don't know why,but feels like tune is not engaging enough.

Fully Faltu
Singers: Mika Singh
Oye its Mika again. After Jugni, Mika has done a different type of song. The extravagant party track.Lyrics are noteworthy too.High bass and low vocals touches the heart.Nothing innovative on music section though.

Gale Lag Ja
Singer: Vijay Prakash, Priya Pancha
Song is an outline of Le Ja Mujhe.Striving female vocals is main attraction of song.Efficient singer Vijay Prakash is wasted though.
Nayee Subah
Singer: Sachin - Jigar
Sachin - Jigar sings it this time after Maula in Tere Sang. Not a track one expecting here. After brilliant start, the gush seems slow.A track rather kept for BGM.Mouth organ is refreshing.

O Teri
Singer: Jigar,Sachin,Vijay
Again A BGM kind of song from duo.Guitar,Lyrics and composition all are stand alone this time.Great sitar-guitar combination.Bass guitar is also carillon.Constant comment on each line in song gives a great sense of humour.

Percentage
Singer:Neuman Pinto
I personally like the singer who rocked it in Aamir, Dev D, Aisha. This time also the percentage truly stands out to be a front runner.Hard Rock with Indian tadka.Lyrics completely mesmerises you and in no time the song picks up at 2:00 and you seem to be lost in a new world.

Beh Chala
Singer:Neeraj Shridhar
Music Dir Duo needed some variation to prove their talent in different genres rather than rock and rap.The song did a charm.A rock and roll taps your feet. Now Neeraj suits better and well experimented.Lyrics and music both compliment each other.

Bhoot Aaya
Singer:Lember Hussainpuri
The best one is in the end.A Techno Rock! The soundtrack is similar to LSD title track.Sound design is exceptional.Lyrics couldn't have been better.Irshad Kamil really proved his talent as a versatile lyricist. Its second consecutive hit from Lember.I really look forward to this wonderful singer in future. And the Sense of humour is the icy spicy delight."Jab Main Chota Baccha Tha Tab Twinkle Twinkle Karta Tha Ab Jo Main Bada Ho Gya Bas Twinkle Twinkle Karta Hoon."

F.A.L.T.U. demanded a sense of re freshness and youthful melody. The Duo has totally succeeded in bringing it.Though one or two songs could have been easily excluded, I still feel the album is a must have for every car stereo and every radio.Though i rated it a 3.5 at first, i go it with a reluctant 4 for the variance in vocals, music and words.Well Done!
